China

 With an active ceramic society, growing academic and engineering support, innovative marketing and manufacturing approaches, and strategic support for alternative sustainable energy solutions, China's ceramic industry reached nearly 64 billion
yuan (approximately $8 billion), up 11 percent year on year. China is solidly among the biggest players on the worldwide ceramics scene. And, there's plenty of reason to believe the nation's influence on ceramics will only grow.
